Vacum line question

1998 jeep grand cherokee 110,000 miles I have a small hose that comes off the front transfer case and is now hanging down under the front of the motor it was never there before it looks like it maybe a vacum line can you tell me where the line is suppose to connect to any help would be appreciated thanks

Hey hitman,
Sounds to me like it could be the x-fer case vent hose, I don't believe that year jeep had a vacuum controlled x-fer case.
