Can anyone help? I'm putting power leather heated seats in my 2001 jeep grand cherokee laredo. I was very surprized to find heater switch plugs in the centre bezel and a power plug under the passenger seat. The thing is absoloutly nothing anywhere for the drivers seat. I can't seem to find any info on the wiring for this. I've searched the net and been to the dealer. Nothing. The dealership is baffeled that there is power seat wiring to the passenger but not the drivers. The other way around would make sense. Has anyone had any experence with performing this sort of task or any suggestions on how I should go about it or even where I could find out? Any help would be greatly apreacheated. I hate to start cutting up my wire harness if not necessary. My thanks in advance.

It sounds like your Jeep started out as a right hand drive and changed in the middle of the stream.

The best thing to do is go to a salvage yard and buy the entire seat and harness. It should bolt in and all you have to do is extend the harness to the connectors. I did it with a Honda and it worked fine.
