1999 Jeep Cherokee temp gauge

My temp gauge is showing 260 degree I have replaced the water pump about 2-3 years ago because it was leaking had no problem after. Driving down the road the other day the temp gauge went to 260 degree so I replaced the thermostat and the coolant temp sensor and did not solve the problem. Can you help me please

Sounds like the water pump is bad I just had to replace my again after 2 yrs and it fixed my problem. One way to tell is if you here a loud cricket type sound. If so then its the pump
