I have a 1998 Grand Cherokee limited 5.2L .
I cant find out why I have a light knocking sound in the engine, and white smoke coming from the exhaust for 4 minutes after i start it up. I took the radiator cap off then started it , and fluid didn't shoot out, so I'm assuming its not a head. Plus the all fluids are fine, and they are the correct colors. I want to know if i use a head gasket sealer and that's not the problem , would it make it worse? Thanks.

Hi there,

Head gasket sealers can cause other problems like blocking coolant passages and radiator cores, go get a head check done, this is a chemical test to detect exhaust gasses in the cooling system, this is a very accurate way of checking for a gasket problem, start here.
