What is the problem while driving my jeep I roll over a bump and the front end wobbles badly, Whats the cause and the cure, Thanks

Thanks for the info, Now as I understand the wobbling occurs after I either strike a bump or decreace speed in a wide turn and bumpy rode, I will check my steering damper and hope thats the problem, Once again thanks, Wish me luck

I'm not a mechanic but I have a '94 Grand Cherokee and had the same problem. In my case the steering damper was leaking. It's similar to a shock absorber and located on the front end mounted horizontaly. With the part and labor it cost me $80.00. The part I think was about $32.00. I also replaced the tires which also had something to do with it. Good luck.
