1997 Jeep Cherokee throttle position sensor

computer codes were 122 and 121 I replaced the sensor but check engine is still on and the jeep won't shift into overdrive. Where else to look

Throttle positon sensor signal is also use as an indication of the transmission throttle pressure to the computer-

Some vehicles the coolant temperature sensor is use as input signal to the computer to command overdrive-in a given temperature-

Did you check the circuit back to the computer for an open or short to ground.
