Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me whats wrong with my car and what I need to do! I drive a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with 220,000 miles on it. Yesterday, while I was stopped at a red light my engine "sputtered" and just quit. I put in park, turned it off, and cranked up and drove away. Now every time my engine is idling it will stall out or quit. I have had to put it in neutral and keep the engine revved when stopped to prevent from quitting.

Someone please help.

Hi this could be a cpl things.
A broken vac hose or loose
idle air control motor
dirty throttlebody
air filter fuel filter tune up. Fuel pump
take a real good look under the hood most common are loose or missing vac hoses. If check eng light is on have it scanned. Good luck billymac
