I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Classic. It runs great, just needs a fuel pump (I hope). I was just wanting to know the correct way to change the fuel filter. I know where it is, I just want to be sure that it is that obvious on how you change it out.

Hoses connect to filter with hose clamps? Yeah, it is straight forward. Make sure no pressure on the system before taking any lines loose. Usually after the vehicle sits overnight without being started or key cycled, there isn't much pressure, but, you still need to be aware. If you loosen the gas cap, it might help? With fuel line off, if too much gas is trying to drain, plug it with something till your ready to go back with new filter. I looked in a parts book for 96 cherokee classic 4.0 wix filter. Showed a filter and two hose clamps. If there is an arrow on filter for flow direction, pay attention.
