1995 Jeep Cherokee oil leak from the oil filter adapter

Going to replace the o-ring in the oil filter adapter.
How do I remove the adapter from the block? All
I can see is what looks like a Star type (Torx) bolt
in the center of the plate. Is this the correct way
to remove the adapter from the block?

Yes that is correct my 96 uses the same thing, I dont know what size of torx it is though.

Thank you for your response. I bought a size T-50 star type for a 3/8 inch drive, but it's too small. Guess i'll have to get a bigger size. Thanks again.
