1995 Jeep Cherokee OIL CONSUMPTION

SEEMS TO HAVE EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION I HAVE NOTICED THERE IS A ELBOW IN THE FRONT OF THE VALVE COVER NO PCV VALVE AN IT GOES DIRECT TO THE BREATHER AN IS ABOVE THE AIR FILTER THERE IS NO CRANKCASE FILTER THIS ALLOWS ALL THE EMMISSIONS TO GO DIRECTLY BACK INTO THE THROTTLE BODY AN IS PULLING SOME OIL WITH IT I NOTICED A BUILD UP OF MUCK ON THE AIR FILTER AN THE THROTTLE BODY I HAVE CHANGED THE FILTER AN CLEANED THE THROTTLE BODY BUT WAS WONDERING IF THIS IS NORMAL I DO HAVE SOME SMOKE COMMING FROM THE TAIL PIPE AN RECENTLY CHANGED THE SPARK PLUGS THEY SEEM TO BE BURNNING WELL NO SIGNS OF OIL ON THEM ANY IDEAS OF WHY I'M HAVING THIS PROBLEM IN THE AREA OF THE AIR FILTER
