Have a '94 Jeep Cherokee, 206400 miles, auto, 4.0L I6 2WD. Have a "fuel smell" in the passenger compartment, coming from the vent (not strong, but noticeable); also check engine light on with code 12, then 27, then 55. Runs kinda hard.

Code 12 is battery had been discounted within the last so many starts. Code 55 is end of message.

With everything turned off, I'd do an ohms test on each injector and compare all readings. if any injector shows infinite resistance or no resistance at all, there may be some thing wrong with the injector. There might be other problems.
