I have a 1994 jeep cherokee sport. When I put the ignition on the "on" position nothing works (signals, wipers, heater, c.D. Player) but when I put the ignition on the acssesory (all the way back) everything works fine. Also when the key is off the battery dies over a short period of time (few hours), something is draining it. Whats wrong? What do I do?

Sopunds like a bad ignition switch. Not powering the system in the on is a good sign, and keeping things powered when it is off is a goods sign. Might need a new one.

Yes it was the ignition switch. Thanks for your input. Now I will see if the battery is drained this morning or not. Brian, Nunavut Canada.
