1989 Jaguar XJS Engine Size unknown Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 72000 miles

THE CAR IS A 3.6 AND IS SICK AT PRESENT. IT IS DIFFICULT TO GET ANY HELP IN NORTHERN IRELAND. THE PROBLEM IS I HAVE SOME OIL IN ONE OF THE CYLINDERS AND MY LOCAL MECHANIC DOESNT SEEM TO KNOW WHAT TO DO. ANY IDEAS OF WHERE TO START? THANK YOU IN ANTICIPATION
