Setting timing

How do you set the timing on a 1998 XJR, there are no timing marks that I can see if you have any info it would be very helpful.

Might not be adjustable. Just set to 1 cyl and the computer does it all

It is not adjustable.
Timing chains are set in place by special tools holding the crank and camshafts into proper timing then you would torque all gears on timing chains to spec

Hi jaguar dealer technician here timming is not adjustable special tools are required to hold cams down you have to turn crank to cyl 1 and remove crank sensor from flywheel and install special tool in place to lock it in then go up top and lock cam tools down in place you would only be doing this if you are replacing chains, tensioners or removing heads
