1998 Jaguar XJR engine swap

My 1998 jag Xjr needed a new engine and I got one from damrons used for a 98-99 pulled old engine and installed new/used one and only difference is the Cam Position sensor old engine had one on drivers side. NEw engine has two one each bank. Vehicle almost starts puffs al little but doesnt stay running.? Can I just get a 1999 wiring harness and 99 ecu and will this do it or is there a way to jumper the wires this is going to be daily driver bought it very cheap so give me the best advice rest of car is perfect.

PS tried starting with Crank position sensor wire to one bank and to the other and then attempted a jumper any help>

Hello .. thanks for the donation .. much appreciated

you will need to replace the wiring loom and the ECU I'm afraid, the current ECU is not getting the correct reading's from the engine sensors ..

Any one have an idea on what year ecu an wiring loom to aquire? Which year engine begins dual cam position sensors on the xjr. As stated orig 1998 engine has drivers bank as single sensor new engine has one in each bank.
