advice on replacing battery

I am looking for advice on the correct procedure when replacing the battery. Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanking you in advance for your assistance.

Hello,

The battery for this XJ is located in the trunk.

It is recommended to use a secondary 12V source when replacing the battery to power the vehicle, otherwise the radio will lock up and you will need the radio codes to unlock it.
