1998 Jaguar XJ8 cruise control

When I engage my cruise control the engine goes in to safe mode. Cant figure out what the problem is.

Yes, you have a vacum leak! It is leaking at the throttle Body. I had the same problem just fixed it last night.

Start your engine and listen for an air leak. If you trace it right, you will notice that you have a hose disconnected
