I have a very interesting problem and I'm hoping you can help me solve it. My Jag will shut down, then display the "check engine" light and also the "transmission" light. Upon reading the codes (P1775 & P727 speed sensor circuit no input) I changed the CPS, and alas, the problem reoccured. Can you tell me what to do?

Thanks,

Tony

Believe it or not, I have solved the problem! I bought my own OBDII scanner on Ebay for a very small price and what a life and $$$$ saver. There were three different issues causing my trouble:

1) The "A" Bank catalytic converter was starting to clog. I replaced both units, having purchased them on Ebay for less than half of what several muffler shops quoted me

2) Transmission service was needed. Having bought the car used and with 100k miles, I was concerned about opening the unit and turning it into Pandora's Box, so instead I took it to a shop, spent $75.00 and had a through flush performed.

3) I purchased and installed a TCM (transmission control module) again on Ebay for $50.00 (v.S. $1700.00 from the dealer)

All told, the repairs cost just over $500 and the car has been working well
