1994 Jaguar XJ6 wont start with the key

My jag wont start with the key and I none of the gauges are working and ac compresser wont turn on but the raido did work and now it says code like it was stolen or something I just brought the car and had to replace that battery did I get a huge proplem or did ii get a simple eletric issuse

Do mean it won't turn over or it turns over but it won't fire? Have you checked "ALL" your fuses, there are 3 fuse blocks. Can you tell me more about the code you are getting on the radio. Please advise.
One more thing, if it turns over but, won't fire, check your spark and fuel at the fuel rail.
