1994 Jaguar XJ6 coolant leak

Steam coming out close to firewall, I checked two
hoses going to heater core, they are ok. Where is it coming from? Thanks

Could be headgasket. With a mirror, look at the backside of the cylinder head below the valve cover.
Look for a wet area or a white chaulky residue where the head meets the block.
