1987 Jaguar XJ6 rough idle and loss of exceleration

I'm having trouble at initial pressing of the fuel pedal
of getting speed and also when I initially start the car
i'm having difficulty of the vehicle turning over. Usually
after the third or fourth try, and compressing the gas
peddle I succeed

To whom it may concern, Have the mass air flow meter looked at by a mechanic, also check the condition for your spark plugs for a fouled condition. Let me know how things turn out, Good luck!
