I have changed the spark plugs, fuel filter in my 1985 XJ-6. The car will turn over, catch and run for a second or two, and then die. I am out of ideas-I am not even a novice mechanic. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot.

To whom it may concern, check your cold start injector, It may not be fireing. Also try spraying starter fluid directly into the throttloe body, make sure you reatached the hose before starting. And last check the mass air flow sensor, it controls the fuel pump and the injectors. Good luck and let me know the out come.
