My 2.0 diesel x type jag is only returning about 36 to the gallon. I think there is something wrong with it as I don't drive it heavily and some people IO know with the same model are getting into the 40's per gallon. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. Andy

Start by having a service and add a good fuel addative to the tank !

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the response. Turned out that my Turbo had gone which was part of the problem. Once that was fixed I am still only getting about 36 to the gallon. I have had the car serviced and had the EGR valve cleaned out but still no difference. I think I may not be doing enough mileage to get the best return on my fuel. I only do about 10 miles each way to work so probably not driving far enough for the car to reach it's peak economy. Any other thoughts though would be appreciated as it still seems a little low. Cheers. Andy
