2002 Jaguar X-Type Powertrain malfuntion light

The car illumnates the powertrain malfuntion light and does not allow car to pass the first gear (10-15-mph) However if I turn car off and on it will be fine for atleast 30 or more miles then the light shows again. What could be wrong? Is my trasminssion dying or could it be since I have not gotten a transmission flush cause this issue?

I had the same problem and the dealership told me it was the throttle body. I went ahead and bought one for 400$ and waited for it too happen again but it did not do it again so this part is sitting in a box.
