1998 Isuzu Trooper 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I need to replace the exhaust system but the shop doing the work is having trouble getting the passenger side cat pipe off the vehicle they have it broke loose and stripped a exhaust manifold stud in process which now they have to replace and they removed the cross member and broke off all the bolts getting that off, in all fairness they were very rusty and old, but how does this thing come off and how can the new one be put on what else has to be removed to facilitate this. And do I need to make another donation each time I ask a question to get an answer? And I think they gave the wrong 02 sensore one is idintical to passenger side but the other was in same box but had diff connector is the driver side upstream diff than the passenger downstream.

I read this question when you first posted. I don't know what anyone donates but will answer as long as it takes to solve the problem. I imagine that the truck is fixed at this point and you can get your money back if so.

Bottom line on this is you need a shop that takes care of this right and doesn't put a burden on you. I don't know the condition, but the chances of broken studs increase with age, heat and corrossion. They should have used heat on it at the very least.

What part numbers and brand do you have for the O2 sensors?

I am not sure they are from rock auto and I found out from planet Izusu that they sent me the wrong one so I am waiting to here back from them. No not fixed yet the trooper is at the shop I called them today and they are anticipating having it done tomorrow sometime the owner was out trying to find exhaust bolts the ones that holder the system together not the manifolfd bolts.

So to answer my other question what else has to be removed the cross member is off and I heard from Planet Izusu that the torsion bar had to come out to give room to get the old cat out on pass side and new one in.
