Electrical problem
1988 Isuzu Trooper 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive
----------------------------------------------------------------
when I took out my starter, I took out the two long bolts at top and bottom of starter. Does my trooper have a solinoid inside the starter and what is the "housing " that my starter came out of?

Hi there.

If your starter has a internal solenoid, and i feel it will, it is the small round section that the main battery cable & the smaller "solenoid" wire attach. The housing is call the transmission "bell housing" it contains the drive plate?ring gear for the starter & the torque converter (Auto's) or clutch ass (Manual) transmission.
