Isuzu rodeo 3.2 OHC V6 has loud valve train noise below 2100 RPM only, changed oil & filter used 1 qt marvel magic mystery oil; pulled passenger side upper timing belt cover, timing belt looks good & is tight.

HI, maukatallguy is it like a clicking or a tapping sound if so it is probably just your lifters. I had an isuzu rodeo and mine made that noise bought it when it had 150,000 then not too long after I bought it started making that tapping or clicking sound took it to my mechanic, and he said that these cars are natorious for this and its more of an annoyance. I sold it when it had 300,000 miles on it and it still made that noise, damn good vehicle. I would recommend going with 10w40 weight oil that seems to help alot I always used 10w40 full synthetic mobil 1 oil. The lifter on these cars arent adjustable and that's why!
