1993 Isuzu Rodeo Question need help

I am trying to find out if I am having transmissions problems. My truck goes from first gear to second gear fine. But when its in second gear going to thrid it drags and hesitates but when you are in forth gear it runs fine but sometimes it seems to sometimes like it is skipping or something I guess you can say. But it runs better after third gear.
