1993 Isuzu Rodeo Question 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

I am working on a 93 rodeo and the fuel gauge does not work, my question is on the fuel tank itself there are three wires on the rear diff side that are attached and I need to know what they are attached to. They are not on the fuel pump and one of these wires(red) is disconnected. I do believe this to be my problem however any advice or info. Is very much appreciated.

Hi xander8575,

Based on the information in our database, the fuel tank sending unit has 3 wires that are namely :

1. Yellow/Red (yellow wire with red stripes). This is for the fuel gauge.
2. Black ( Ground )
3. Pink on body harness side connected to Yellwow/Blue on sending unit side. Low fuel warning indicator light.

If the red wire described goes to the fuel tank unit then it is possible the wire colors are different from our database. Ground a test lamp and probe the red wire. Turn igniton switch ON and check if the fuel gauge needle moves.

If yes, then this wire has to be reconnected to get the fuel gauge to work.
