trouble started right after installing new r-front turn signal. Nothing special, just "plug and play". After which it would not start, investigation revealed blown fuel pump fuse, replaced and at the same time I turmed on ingition, blows again. Checked relay, (actually swapped with another being of the same value), then after pump removal, adn further testing, determined fuel pump ok. (Put straight to battery and run fine) I figure it is sompthing really simple (sensor) but have no idea where to start and have no code reader, can you help please!

Remove the bulb you put in. Triple check the numbers and then buy a new one! May have a defective bulb. If internally the bulb is shorting other components. Posible tho rare, More likley an incorrect application.

To start, thank you for such a timely reply, did just exactly what you suggested, (only before finding your reply) reassembeled everything (pump conglomeration, tank, whatnot), and then unplugged bulb, still having the same troubles. The good news is that I returned the $200 fuel pump and went ahead and bought a "code reader", but, like all else to this point, (with the exception of you) no help.
I am fixing to go and start tryin to "follow" wires and look for a short.
Next?
Thanks again
Jerry

Jerry I hate to be the one to tell you. If you are experiencing multiple system failures as a result of the bulb, it may have blown a body control module.
