Hi, I purchase this truck from my landlord it was sitting in my yard for a while. I test drove the care it crank up with no problems and drove it around the block. The ignition was left on overnight. And when I got back in to crank it up it turn over, but would not start. My mechanic said that it is not getting any fire to it. He thinks it electrical. So he put on a distributor, coil, and I brought a new battery for it. The care still will not turn over. So we are exhusted with ideal as of now. The mechanic the the only thing else he can think of is the igniter, which we are having a hard time finding this part. It sits just above the battery on the passengner side. Its look like a small square box with a cord that connects it to the wirers comming from the outer front hole of this vehicle. We truely need help. I really want to drive this care for the summer but I don't know whats wrong with it.

Hi pinkjoefish,

Leaving the ignition On for a long period of time can heat up and kill the igniter.

If there is no sparks from coil, the ICM is most likely faulty.

First you said the engine cranks but after battery change you said it would not turn over, which is which?
