Car had an oil leak for past 2 months, Checked and refilled oil as needed, Could see smoke from under hood when car was stopped at a stop light. Son borrowed car.
Checked oil and reported it appeared to be too full When driving home he heard a buzzing whining sound (not very loud). Started to lose power and stopped. could not turn the engine over after it stopped and still won't.. Upon inspection after tow, engine appears to have exploded from the side. Please see picture.

Good morning,

There is internal damage from something that failed.

I would consider replacing the engine with a good used engine.
