Intermittent drivability concern

When the weather is below twenty degrees the "wrench" light will come on. Symptoms include no rpm increase even if the throttle is pressed to the floor and the no transmission engagement or it will move ahead very slowly. After it is warmed up I can shut off the key, wait ten seconds and most times it will behave normally. Two codes were flagged P0701 and P0730 but they go away after a hot soak. I have seen other posts with this but not a definitive answer.

The 701 and 730 are transmission codes for your CVT transmission. I attached a chart for you below. This is not something you can check unless you have a scan tool. It is most likely an internal failure which will require removal and inspection. Sorry for the bad news but these transmissions are a headache.
