What year transmission will interchange?

What year transmission will interchange for the above listed truck. VIN 1B7HF16Y1TS691603. 46RE? Thanks

The 46RE was used a lot starting in the late 1990s so you can use one out of another vehicle but it is not advised as there can be slight differences in sensors and mounting depending on vehicle and year. It was not exactly the same in all years and models.

However, they will all fit but you may have to make sure changes to wiring and mounting brackets once you lay them side by side.

I would stick with as close the model year and vehicle that you can. I would not use the 47RE or 48RE either. Also, the 46 RH is hydraulic vs electronic controlled so I would stay away from that as well.
