Instrument panel chime will not turn off

I cleaned the battery cables now the chime or alarm in the instrument panel will not go off.

I would try a hard reboot of the system. Remove the negative battery cable from the battery and hold it too the positive side for thirty seconds. This will discharge all capacitors and reboot the system.
