First brake lights don't work at all. I have one rigged up to a power source and the brake light switch. Tried so many things to try to get those brake lights working. 3 days ago all my rear lights stopped working. Came back on. Went off and on. So they work sometimes. Could it be The REM. My van has a rebuilt transmission because the original busted as I was reversing and then was locked up. So I have 180,101 miles and my baby runs great. Old and tired for sure but I really wanna know why all rear lights and dome lights go in and out. Thank you for reading! ❤

It absolutely can be the REM module! Back in the day I've done lots of the recall ford had for resealing the passenger side rear corner for water intrusion with a butyl patch. The connector would also get corroded in that corner so inspect this area really good. At best you may just have to clean the connector really good.

When I called a Ford dealership they said there was noe REM on a Windstar. But I've read on so many blogs that there is.

Well they are incorrect! I'm a senior master certified Ford technician and have been a dealer tech since 1992 and am the Houston region tech rep for the Ford technician review panel so I go to Dearborn twice a year, so I say with great confidence that Windstars do have REM modules. Sorry if I threw up on you, but I've worked super hard to get where I am and I'm a tad bit proud of myself, lol.

I forgot to mention about 2 weeks ago my brother in law cut and reconnected all the rear light wires in like 45 minutes. They worked for 2 weeks straight. Then boom they went out again.
