Where is the Input speed sensor located?

I’ve been dealing with some irregular rough shifting with my truck. Code reader says transmission input sensor, cruise control also does not work. Any help on locating this would be greatly appreciated. I was told it is in the pan behind the manifold.

It looks like the input and output sensors are serviced together and they are located inside the valve body. So, you will need to remove the transmission pan so you might as well change the filter. Here is how to change the sensors and filter out:
