My air conditioner compressor bearing was making a lot of noise with air conditioner on or off so I got a bearing for it as I pushed the old out the out side of it stayed in pulley. It is very thin any idea how to get it out or is it a lost cause and I need to buy a new compressor? Also I really needed the car so put it all together except the compressor and the belt it runs on its own belt it runs fine but my power steering pump has started making noises. Is it because one less belt on the crank pulley or is it just going out on its own at bad timing?

Check the belts and tensioner, recommended replacement is 60,000 for both that might be the power steering noise you hear. As far as compressor, the power steering may be on its way out, but try a belt first as they slip when they get old due to low tension. As for compressor I think you are replacing clutch bearing which there are two snap rings involved and must be removed so bearing can come out. The clutch must be adjusted to proper distance however or will burn up see pictures. If it actually the compressor bearing just get a rebuilt compressor it is not worth replacing bearing on compressor.

The belts and tensioner are good. As long as the air conditioner compressor does not have anything to do with the power steering pump I am not going to put another compressor on it I really want to find out for 100% for sure that the compressor does not effect the power steering pump because I have been told both that it has nothing to do with it and it does

The compressor will not have anything to do with power steering, but your first question did not really seem to ask that.

Thanks. I am sorry I did not mean to make sound like I had asked that question. I have posted on so many forms about it and have not been able to get a straight answer. I have lost track of what questions I have posted one what form. I meant to ask that on the first post that was my fault not asking it how I should have. I post on five Infiniti forms and a couple s10 forms my s10 jumped timing while I was driving it along with the distributor jumps as well so I been back and forth to car and truck and forms and websites I really appreciate the answers from everyone. I will be visiting the form everyday to see if I can give advise to help others out.
