Hi,
Lately, I have been smelling very strong gas fumes in my car. It seems to only happen when it is very cold outside. Can you give me some suggestions?

Is the engine performing well?
How is the gas mileage?

Could be a problem with the EVAP system. It stores gas fumes in a canister and then feeds them into the engine. The system is controlled by the computer. It opens a valve thru a solenoid which puts vacuum to the canister. The canister should also have a vent valve. The gas cap is part of the system and is designed to let air in and vent pressure out if necessary. Have it checked also.

Good luck and let us know. :)

Forgot to mention the obvious. Check all the fuel lines, fuel filter, and their connections.
