91 Infiniti Q45

1991 Infiniti Q45 V-8, 170,000 miles. When I try to start it, it makes a tick, tick, tick sound, Ive cleaned the battery terminals, radio, lights work. Starter is about 6months old however, got it used. Battery is also used could it be its not stong enough?

You are likely hearing the solenoid. Replace the starter and battery, I would definetly recommend it. A lot of electronic or hydraulic things arent the best to buy used or Pick-A-Part it.
