I have an FX35 with 38,000 miles. Suddenly one day when I started the car an incredible amount of white smoke came out of exhaust. This only happens when it is started, especially if it is cold. What is this?

Coolant is leaking in the combustion chamber. Could be head/block/head gasket. Have it block and pressure tested.

Would my coolant level not be dropping? I see it the same and car does not heat up.
If there is coolant leaking in, what could have caused this? Thanks

So sorry. Did not read it right. It is probably condensation. No worries keep an eye on the temperature gauge. You are back to normal.

I had the same problem with my G-35 when I got a tune up! Bad technician at Pep Boys in Palm Springs, Florida! He forgot a plug I pointed out! Later the car malfunctioned in gas pedal, very obvious when using cruise control. I freaked out watching him start the car and saw white smoke. He claimed he fixed it. Another technician said it was a cylinder he broke and the place refused any fixings. The car was perfect before it, just up keep in maintenance. That ruined my car! It is so scary getting any car maintenance these days!
