1991 Infiniti M30 Gear will not work for some time.

Transmission problem
1991 Infiniti M30 6 cyl Automatic 184.00 miles

When I start the car in colder temperature
(I live in Florida), I have to run the engine
up to half hour before the gear will go in
and let me drive. Is very frustating as sometimes
I am in a hurry and have to wait.

Thank you for the donation.

Symptoms indicates the transmission is not in good condition and could fail anytime.

Check the fluid level and condition. Fluid should be sufficient and not dark in color.

Does transmission shift ok after it is warmed up? If yes, the valve body might need servicing.
