2001 Infiniti I30 Gear

When I am driving my car has begun to miss gears I beleive as when I am giving it gas from from 1st to 2nd gear or 2nd to 3rd it doesnt drive and rpms increase and car doesnt move. It doesnt do this all the time and it doesnt do this from stop to drive but mainly when I am driving in slower to mid speeds. I checked the tranny fluid and we are good, what could this be?

Could be a bad solenoid in the trans or a bad sensor. Your best bet would be to have the PCM scanned to see if the trans has recorded any trouble codes. If it is a controllable item, the PCM will record a fault, if it is a mechanical issue in the trans, it may not record a fault code, but this is the best place to start.
