Can I drive my car for 2 weeks until I get the Value cover and manifold gasket replaced. I was told this I s a normal maintenance item. Is it safe for me to continue to drive short trips around town here maybe 10 miles total in a day I am only going to the store or the VA for my medical appointments 2 times a week. I am saving the money to get this done I also need a o ring sensor for the camshaft and a battery replaced I can only afford the Valve cover repair right now I need to replace a tire too I have used the same repair shop Tires Plus for all my car repairs but they are higher on this job The rate for labor at 3.2 hours( 85.00 Hr) plus the parts was 428.00 for the valve cover and manifold gasket

For the valve cover leak, just make sure you keep the engine oil level full. For the manifold, it depends on wether its the exhaust or intake manifold gasket. If its exhaust than would be OK to drive, if its the intake gasket leaking than driving it that way could do more harm to the engine.
