Hello,

My car overheated the other day and then I noticed that only 1 of the radiator fans turned. I thought that it might be a fuse but they appeared mto be OKI (30A fuses) So I switched the fuses to see if this would switch the fans that would turn on. Now both fans did not move. So I switched the fuses back and still both of tghe fans do not move. What did I do? Did I do break my 2nd fan? I wonder if switching the fuses made things worse and what I should do. Please help as this is our only car rightnow and with both fans broken I am afraid to drive it anywhere.
Thank you

Hello and thanks for donating!

Although sometimes you can visually tell that a fuse is blown, it is best to actually use a meter and test the fuse. It could be that the fuse WAS blown, then you inserted the good fuse and it blown right away as well. If this is the case, its most likely due to a bad fan motor for that specific fan (whichever one blew fuse first). If its not the case then try check out the cooling fan relays. There should be 3 relays, all located at the left front of engine compartment, in the #2 relay box. Let me know how these things check out and I will follow up.
