To make this short I have an annoying rattling in my g35. When I take off in first my car rattles until I hit about 3k rpm. It does it as well if im already traveling at speed and have to slow down and if I dont downshift and have to start off again in low rpm it rattles until im in the 2.5k-3k rpm range. It stops when im at speed in any gear.

It is normal for a manual transition car. Just means that you are at the wrong RPM/ Gear for the speed you are traveling at.

Try giving it more gas when taking off in 1st. Maybe around 2K until you get to a comfortable RPM where there is no shaking.

As far as the second part of your question relating to downshifting --- well. If you don't downshift then the car will rattle until you get back up to speed. Remember the G has 300 horse power which is plenty to accelerate in 6th gear from 15-20 mph but its not good and the car will rattle. Instead shift down to 2nd and accelerate appropriately to be smooth and save on gas.
