Hi ANDRIN,

Without the smart key system, the immobilizer is located at the left side the dash by the steering column. Check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.

You are welcome, yep, you will need to remove the steering column. I did find a better image of the unit though. Here are the wiring diagrams as well.

The PCM is responsible for turning on the security light. I would run the codes with a CAN scanner to see what codes are stored.

This video will show you how.

I can’t remember the exact code, but it did mention Smarttra open circuit or short circuit. The ECU responsible for turning the security light in dash, looking at the diagram you sent, could it be the blue cable living the junction fuse box to the ecu than enabled the ecu turn in the light?

I would double check the "room LP" and "audio" fuses in the fuse panel inside the car.

What I actually suspect is the line that turns in the Immo, if you look closely the diagram you sent. So I was wondering I I have the ecu pinout and I could locate this line and feed it with signal and see if the light turns on on run position.

You got it right Ken, this must be the line that is open or short to ground, because that was the report I got from my scan tool. I will use a multimeter to check for continuity, am sure the line must be open. A million thanks Ken.

From the diagram, the wire on the ecu 69 to the instrument cluster is 13, but when I verify the connector I can’t find orange and brown on this position. If I can have a clear map on this orange and brown enough.
