Trying to figure out the name of a part

Trying to figure out the name of this part. There are two small coolant lines one at each end. While traveling I noticed small coolant drops as the vehicle sat overnight. The line is located under the engine, clicks to frame.

Good afternoon,

Is coolant leaking from there or is coolant dripping on this?

It looks like a wire harness from your picture. Where does either end go?

One line looks to go to the heater core, the other I can't seem to pinpoint. The part is rubber and has a plastic tube in the center. I thought I could just replace with a rubber hose, but was concerned the plastic piece inside was needed. The coolant is from the line that goes into the part. The line slid out so I put back in a put clamps on each end. Photo shows tape as a quick fix.

Got it.

From your description, it sounds like a heater hose. As long as there is no electric involved, you can just replace the hose. The other end should go to the intake manifold.

What motor? I will try to get a picture for you.

Thank you. The motor is a 5.4 Triton. The lines are very small. I will probably replace with a small hose since there is no electric.

In doing more research I figured out that the plastic piece is a vacuum connector. Since it's a vacuum connector, would it be safe to go ahead and replace the whole thing with a vacuum hose?

You cannot have a vacuum fitting in a coolant line. That makes no sense.
