Ignition switch replacement

Dad replaced new ignition switch in my vehicle. Put the key in that came with the part, used my original key with code and stuck it to the side with the chip so it could read the code. Started the car but only stayed running for a couple seconds and shut off. Key light blinking on dash also.

Yes, you cannot have the RF chip outside of the RF antenna which is around the ignition lock. Use must use the right key or open the old key and the new key and swap the chips.
