Ignition issue

I am having trouble with starting my car. It feels like it would be some sort of switch behind the clutch because normally I push the clutch all the way down to crank the vehicle. Some times I do not press it down all the way and it just does not do anything at all. It feels like maybe that went out because now that I fully press on the clutch is does not do anything at all. I tried to take it to AutoZone and have them see if it was my starter and they told me it was something with my battery. After I bought a new battery, we come to find out it was not that at all. They never tested again to see if it was my starter. I am not sure how to see if it is maybe some kind of switch behind the clutch maybe? It is a manual. Not an automatic

It might just be a failing clutch start switch. It is located under the steering column, under the dash. It feeds voltage to the "crank" fuse located in the under-hood fuse block so you could just test that "crank" fuse for voltage with the key on start and clutch pedal down. That may give you the clue you need.

I thought that too, but I cannot seem to find it underneath the pedal, I tried looking for it on a site like AutoZone for a replacement and they did not know what I was talking about.

I do not have a diagram either, but that is where it is supposed to be.

So finally I ended up replacing my starter because it seemed likely and it was not that either. I was able to test the crank fuse as you said and it does seem to be working correctly with the key in and pedal down. I am not sure what else it could be.

Make sure the BATT 2 fuse is not blown and if not, try a new starter relay.
